The system used is chosen by a user when being registered and further the entire information is entered in the chosen system. One and the same value is absolutely equivalent in both the systems. To change the measurement system used it is sufficient to enter the menu My Dealwood � Profile and make the appropriate changes.
  It is available to look through the lot you are interested in applying both measurement systems.



        What kind of service does the Portal provide?

The range of services provided by the Portal depends upon the status conferred upon a user. In details.

Registration takes possibility to get status Member and is free of charge.
It is possible to look through the lots placed on the Portal, reading the Trader list (without any access to Traders� information), reading and placement of information on the message board, access to the Portal statistics.
Trader of the DEALWOOD
has full access to all resources including the base of lots and on-line trading facilities.
To obtain the status of a Trader, it is required to pay an annual fee. Having become a Member your are able to do it any time.

What kind of companies may be registered on the Portal?
Any company, organization (of any form of ownership) and private persons concerned in the profile of the DEALWOOD operation may be registered on the DEALWOOD.

We are able to find the rules of form completion on the same page in help line and in the section HELP.
We recommend you to fill in all registration data in the English language.
Completing a registration form keep in mind that the data entered will be verified by admin and detecting an false information will be deleted from the database.
Having completed the registration fields you will be offered to sign an Privacy Policy of the DEALWOOD.com.
If you agree with the rules, you will be automatically conferred upon the status of a Registered User with the relevant rights of access.

Which E-mail will be published in my data, should it be concurrent with that specified during the registration?
In your data seen by other Trader of the DEALWOOD will be specified the address stipulated by you during the registration. To receive a notice and DEALWOOD messages by you (in the Menu My DEALWOOD-> Mailing setting) you may specify both this address and any other address. It will not be visible for other Traders.


I have registered but am unable to be authorized. What is wrong?
A number of errors or combinations are possible:
1. Non-compliance of the register of the password entered to that registered
2. Non-compliance of the language of the password entered to that registered
3. Non-compliance of the password and login entered to those registered
4. The button Caps Lock has been pressed


Where is it possible to obtain a password?
You will determine a password by yourself when completing the registration form.


How to restore the password lost?
Press the button � the Password lost. Fill in the form appeared before you (login and e-mail address, specified by you at registration). When these data concur the password will be automatically sent at the address specified during registration.


Is it possible to modify own registration data?
You may change the registration data having chosen in the main menu the button My DEALWOOD-> Profile. To change the registration data it is required to enter the applicable password.


How to change the password?
You may change the password and other registration data having chosen My DEALWOOD-> Profile button on the main menu, as any other registration data. To change a password it is necessary to enter the existing password.


How to change the login?
You determine by yourself your own login during the registration, it is impossible to change it.



        Language support.


At present two interface languages are put into effect on the DEALWOOD: English and Russian.
You may choose one of them when completing a registration form. It is possible to change the interface language any moment in the menu My Dealwood -> Profile.
Moreover, it is possible to turn to the other language, having clicked the relevant sign on the right upper edge. The language thus chosen is stored within one session.
After turning to the other language you occur to be on the main page, that is why you had better turn to being on this page.
Information about lots is identical on both languages.

What is it and how does it work?
DEALWOOD makes an automatic notification of different events on the Portal via the electronic mail.
Right use of this opportunity will allow you to separate significant events on the DEALWOOD (for instance, new trade in your lot, exhibition of the lot opposed to yours, news, articles, etc.) from any other without a direct entry to the DEALWOOD applying only your mail program and react on the events requiring your interference.
Notification tailoring is possible in the menu My Dealwood -> Mailing setting.


Is it possible to choose the language of notification?
You may choose one of two languages � English or Russian (UTF-8) (in the menu My Dealwood -> Mailing setting). For the cases, if your mail program does not support this codification, the text of notification may be duplicated in English and by transliteration.
 The language of notification may differ from that chosen by you during the registration or in interface.

Are there any limits for information placement?
The scope of message in an announcement is limited to 1500 signs.
It is forbidden to place information not related to the Portal subject matter and advertising announcements.
In case of placing advertisements not meeting these terms, the Portal administration retains the right to delete them.


How much does it cost?
The message board and registration are used free.

Search through the Portal have different functional filling in for different categories of users.
For non-autorized users the search is carried out according to site news, industry, news archives, articles.To search in a window it is required to enter a phrase searched or news date and press �Search�.

This menu comprises the database of all DEALWOOD Traders with the opportunity for looking through their profiles and trading activity, as well as trade lots of the user chosen (for Traders only).


Why some data are not seen in the user�s profile?

How to place a lot?

Menu Lots � All lots / Add lots. Follow the prompts placed under the main menu.


What is a classifier and how to use it?

A classifier is a table with the names of wood and timber, which are placed to be sold on a Portal, as well as the names of other woodworking products.
Accessible from the menu Lots � All Lots / Add Lots (for viewing other lots and adding own lots) and from the menu Lots � Search (for tasking the criteria for lots search).
With the help of prompts placed under the main menu in the classifier you can:

- place your lot
- view the list of placed lots on a definite product and kind (sort, type) and then, from this list, place your lot
- estimate the trading activity of the products (number of placed lots), separately for Buy and Sell

All lots seen in the classifier are tradable.


What is Open Trade & Deal House? What are the advantages of using Deal House?

Two types of deals are possible: Open Trade and Deal House.

Placing a lot the owner may immediately announce which variant of deal he (she) prefers.
During the trading process, the type of deal may be equally discussible with the rest of trading parameters of the present lot and changed under mutual agreement of the parties. In the course of the trading process, the choice of this or that type of deal does not affect the process itself. All its influence comes from the moment of confirmation of the present deal.

Open Trade

is the type of deal after conclusion of which (by pressing the button Confirm) its support by the Portal is finished.
When effecting transactions in Open Trade the Traders agree upon transaction on the portal and further define the procedure of this transaction themselves, i.e. DEALWOOD does not participate in effecting transaction.

Thus you may use the Portal for search of the potential partners and/or trade with them on-line, supposing in the future (after the final agreement of the terms of the deal) a direct contact with them and independent control of the arrangements made on the Portal.

Deal House

Deal House � using this type of transaction you can work with a result, which guarantees receipt of payment for the delivered goods or receipt of goods, provided that the Contract is fulfilled. When effecting transactions in Deal House the Traders agree upon transaction on the portal and further use Dealwood as a Sales Agent. Work in this mode is governed by the Terms of Using Deal House.


I would like to deal (place) the material, which is not included in the system (classifier). How can I do this?
For the description of my material its characteristics available in the DEALWOOD are not sufficient. What shall I do?
In case you did not find the required product in the classifier or there is a need to change some of the parameters of the existing products you have a possibility to offer your variant for adding to the classifier.
To achieve this you should enter the menu Lots � Add Lots and fill in the form shown on the display following help system.
Your inquiry will immediately reach the DEALWOOD administrator for consideration and final decision. Possibly, a more precise definition on your part will be needed � in that case the DEALWOOD�s personnel will contact you.
If your inquiry is reasonable then the lot offered by you will be added to the classifier. In any decision � positive or negative � you will be informed by the email.


I cannot find the required type of the material. What shall I do?
I cannot find the required standard of the material upon placing the lot. What shall I do?
In the form of adding own lot (Lots � View Lots / Add Lots) chose the species (standard) Others.
If you chose Others describing the lot in the list Species (Standard) then you will see a field where you may describe the species (standard) in short.
As a result of this action the DEALWOOD�s administrator will receive a notification that you place a lot with the species/standard Others and the lot is not active and is not seen by the other Traders of the DEALWOOD.
The administrator finds your lot in the system, views the description of its kind or standard and at the earliest possible date adds this species/standard to the list, then edits the lot in accordance with the new kind, leaving the rest parameters unchanged, and places it for trading.
You will be informed automatically on this event.
You will be able to see this lot, as well as all your lots, in the list My Lots and make all possible operations with it as with the other lots.
In case by any reason your offer is refused then your lot will not be placed for trading. You will be notified by the email with an explanation of the reason of refusal and you will be offered an alternative.


What is activity of the lot and why is it needed?
Activity of the lot is a mark with the help of which you can make your lot invisible for the other participants of the trade (replace from the trade) not depending on the removal date.
This option is suitable to be used in the case when you during a long period of time are dealing with one and the same position traded on the DEALWOOD but by some reason (for instance, force-majeur or temporary lack of the material or its demand) at the moment do not want the other Traders to see your lot, meaning that in the nearest time you will place it back putting the mark Activate.
This option is an alternative to the lot removal.


Where can I see the reply to my lot?
In the menu Lots � My Trade in the table Offers of Partners. Besides, in the list of your placed lots (Lots � My Lots) the traded lot will be marked with the green colour.


How can I reply (start trading) for the required lot?
Click the number of the required lot (in the list of lots). You will see the page with the maximum information about the lot. There is a possibility to start trading offering your terms or make a deal without any trade confirming the partner�s terms.


What does the pink colour mark mean?
The pink colour mark is used in the list My Lots and means that your lot is going to be removed from the trade and it is not seen by the other Traders.
(If for the date of removal the lot is negotiated, you can proceed with negotiations till its completion.)
To activate such a lot again you need to edit the date of its removal accordingly. In this case the rest (not edited) parameters will not be changed.
You can see "pink" lot also in the tables My Trading. There it means that ether the offer for the negotiated lot or the lot itself has been removed.


What does the green colour mark mean?
The green colour mark is used in the list My Lots only and means that there is a reply (demand)for your lot from a potential partner (a counter-offer or confirmation of your terms) and he / she is waiting for your decision.
